The test was said to be achieved when a saucer full of water placed on the head spills not one drop within that hour.  Is this a Crolweyan practical joke?</p>

<p dir="auto">"Saucer" means a British saucer of the day - more like a shallow soup bowl than a miniature plate.</p>
