Books like "Initiation into Hermetics" or "The Practice of Magical Evocation"

Here it is his work on Amazon.
www.amazon.com/Initiation-into-Hermetics-Franz-Bardon/dp/1885928122/ref=pd_cp_b_1?pf_rd_p=413864201&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=1885928130&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0A4PRT6TQYCGBAY7409N

I am thinking about ordering some of his books and hear only good things about his work and I would be interested to hear any ones else's take on his work with Hermetics.

Franz Bardon: wonderful practice; terrible theory. Totally worth buying and working with, but I think it's important to keep in mind that he's not of us."

how do you mean "not of us"? He is prudish about drug use and he seems prudish in general. Also for some reason he totally omits any Chakras reference and i personally found that to be flawed. The emphasis is on cautious balance in mind, body and astral/moral as the student advances.

that's not a book title; i mean his magickal theory is or the birds while his practices - at least in "initiation into hermetics" - are pretty good.

Theory is lacking, Bardon leaves most of it for you to figure out as you go along.
It is all about knowing who you are.

I like the idea of Bardon,as far as I know he was never really involved with any group and was a solo practitioner.
