<![CDATA[Period of Silence]]>I just read

As of April 8th An CVII, 2010 e.v. We have entered a period of Silence for five years. Those who will to become Probationer of the A∴A∴ and beyond must wait until April 8th, 2015 e.v. to enter the Hallways of our Ancient and most Holy Sanctuary.

Behold, we bid you fare well until then; and the doors of Our Holy Order are closed for five years; and let all those upon the entrance into our next period of Speech be then welcome once again, and may the flame of your spiritual aspiration burn strong and pure.

Work with those documents that We have freely given showing true aspiration and sublime meditation. It is not written that for those who soul is pure the blessed Immortals are swift to come?

The A∴A∴ is a Spiritual Organization which does not exist on the physical plane. Our Manifesto is ONE STAR IN SIGHT which clearly announces with sublime clarity the Will of the Great White Brotherhood.

Does this reflect all of the AA or just their particular lineage?
I was supposed to be initiated in October, does this mean I must wait another five years 😱

that's a very good point, and also its another good example of how what started out as the personal habits of A.C, and his associates can become Dogma.
Thus is dogmatic religion born, how ironic.
I suppose really the only reason for 5 years of silence would be to give the author some time to gather materials and funds for the next edition of the equinox.

Why don't you ask your initiating Neophyte or Cancellarius of the lineage that you were scheduled to initiate into? While the Temple of Thelema is affiliated with a lineage of the AA, it's not that lineage and so you won't get answers on how the lineage you're initiating into does business. There are many lineages out there, some in periods of silence and some in speech and some who are the real deal and some who are fraudulent. Just do your homework.

To my extremely limited knowledge only one based in the UK, which is not currently taking on Probationers in any case.
this doesn't mean that there are not others, just that I don't know about them, which isn't saying much, sorry I cant be more helpful, but I am still on the doorstep myself and not in a position to be very informative, all I can say is keep looking.
