Get the 1st and 2nd issues of Equinox Vol I. (Equinox I: 1st and 2nd issues,) and start from the beginning with the psychic tests with tarot cards.

Crowley designed the Equinox in a very specific way to guide magicians along the true path, gradually having them discover their true Powers.

In the 2nd equinox, there's the pentagram and hexagram rituals. However, I would go through the entire 1st volume to train in meditation, holding thoughts, banishing all thoughts, and growing psychic awareness.

If you want them, I'll surely send them to you, illustrations included.

Modern Magick was my first book when I was getting into High/Ceremonial Magick. But, as he fortunately said, don't take his word on things. Get more than one perspective. Especially since nearly every ritual in that book is published with blinds in it.

That wasn't a "correction," it was an observation.

Over the years, I've moved more in the direction of thinking of the invoking as setting the stage for going into a Temple, or settling into inner work under optimal conditions, and the banishing as externalizing, exteriorizing, switching to a shielded or masked condition for functioning in the mundane world. But I'm not convinced I've stated that correctly. There are some principles in there I haven't said as well as I one day hope to say them. But, following this logic, one might elect to do the invoking at the end of one's day (as one moves wholly into the interior), and the banishing at the day's start.

One consequence - I'm not sure I'd call it a danger, and vascillate on whether to call it "undesirable" - is that the invoking ritual can make one highly sensitized and vulnerable, far more open to impressions, etc. In some people's lives, this would put them at a disadvantage in their daily lives (public transit, work environments, etc.).

i would mos def do both. from my seat, it creates an intended awareness and balance before we start pounding out the task of daily living. the resh's continue to keep us harmonized with our intent. the benefits are great, try it! make note. for me, if i am clear with what i want to accomplish with the day, i acknowledge it and sit with it for a few before invoking the energies, they're allies i wouldn't want to banish before they've had a chance to benefit my intention in service to the greater good (K&C). good luck! 93!

Just some thoughts on the matter, despite not having attempted this specifically...

My experience with the LIRP has been consistently intense; I can't imagine performing that and then not banishing afterward.

But experimentation is always good. Just be careful. I've always wanted to try this myself; maybe I'll do it when I have the ability to banish afterwards if it's too much (i.e. not performing this and then driving to work).

93, 93/93.

p.s. FWIW, you have a lot more actual experience than I do if you have indeed been doing it daily for 2 years.
