Lamas? Is that me?
Maybe I wasn't clear, when I said "as far as the LBRP goes" I meant in terms of using in in conjunction with Mass of the Phoenix. I was just sharing my experience of using MotP with other rituals. I wasn't talking about any other uses of the LBRP (which I practice 2 to 3 times daily). I edited my post to make it a little clearer.

doing it over and over again, you actually start to become the "medium" or "messenger" between you and your HGA.

So when you finally get pretty steady at it, it's like being one with your HGA, the direct current flowing.

It has been 20 years now and recently my (now) ex wife complained of me 'singing' at night.

Drill it in, over and over and over, so it is automatic. It will build in your psyche and aura- making personal protection easier and KCHGA much more likely.

It is a promise.

I've had this discussion with others before and some people still like to do it. Of those who do, I think most of them said they preferred to perform it before the Mass of the Phoenix. It's just preference.

As far as your question about using the LBRP goes, I tried MotP a number of different ways, from opening and closing banishings to putting it into a full ceremonial framework (pentagram and hexagram banishings, purification and consecration with water and fire, various invocations, etc.). I ended up settling into opening with Liber V, then performing the Mass of the Phoenix and no closing banishings. I was working in a dedicated temple, which I frequently practiced in; if it had been a different space I might have felt the need to banish. This was also almost a year ago. I've grown a lot as a magician (I hope!) since then, so I'm not sure if this would still work for me.

Hope that helps some...
