<p dir="auto">Yes, 888 is a number that speaks primarily through the Greek. The fact that it is the value of IHSOUS - Jesus - focused a great deal of Greek gematria attention on it, especially Bond and Leigh. This is probably the basis of 8 being called "the Dominical Number," with 888 being essentially a "Grand Dominical Number."</p>
<p dir="auto">But, of Hebrew, my very favorite is that 888 is the value of AMTh VAMth, <em>emeth ve-emeth,</em> "Truth of Truth."</p>
<p dir="auto">The other main entry I have is ChPP, <em>chapap,</em> "to cover or protect."</p>
