<![CDATA[Tarot Reading Permutations]]>This brief Ted video talks about how many ways a deck of 52 cards may be arranged. Of course, in a tarot deck, there are 78 cards, but the information may easily be extrapolated.

According to the video, even with a deck of only 52 cards, if a unique arrangement was generated every second since the Big Bang, the process would still have millions of years to go before it was complete.

Something to think about next time you shuffle the cards.
