My experience of I Ching divination is that it is uncannily accurate at depicting the ambiguity of the situation I'm asking about, but without clearly indicating a resolution."
I almost exclusively use the Wilhelm translation - because, rather than giving fortune-cookie answers, it primarily presents the principles actively operating. I find that, almost invariably, I get an exact, clear answer when looked at from this perspective. (And sometimes the standard commentaries are hiulariously dead-on the exact situation!)"
me too - and for the same reasons! it helps one to understand the principles that lay behind, and I find this very helpful in making decision based on the answer.
my general approach when consulting I Ching is that I am asking my HGA for guidance and help, and the Book of Changes is a Tool (a specific language) for this comunication
