**1. I passed into the mountain of lapis-lazuli, even as a green hawk between the pillars of turquoise that is seated upon the throne of the East.
    2. So came I to Duant, the starry abode, and I heard voices crying aloud.
    3. O Thou that sittest upon the Earth! (so spake a certain Veiled One to me) thou art not greater than thy mother! Thou speck of dust infinitesimal!
Thou art the Lord of Glory, and the unclean dog.

And so the month of attunement to Air begins...

If you want to enrich this cycle of daily meditations, I suggest saturating yourself in the Qabbalistic idea for the period. For example, for this month of the Air chapter, invoke Air daily (perhaps before your meditation period, banishing after), and indulge yourself in other Air formulae known to you (e.g.., T.'.O.'.T.'. initiates of at least 2° might want to saturate themselves in the 2° ritual during this time).

    And so forth.

    In any case: Enjoy.

My day was a bit Airy, spontaneously. 😀

I like those verses very much. (Maybe it's just because they're in my blood.) They transmit to me humbleness and power.

In thinking of Air, things related to Air, and for myself, warming up the mind - Air corresponds to Yesod, the Foundation as translated in English. The path leading to Yesod is Tav which I'd like to somehow make sense of as the Hawk leaving the abodes of Earth, by means of Air, through the Path of Tav and its Pillars to the Throne of the East in Yesod.

Duant here is a strange word, not finding exact definitions. The place of dualism? The mind reflects itself onto everything perceptible to it - a "room full of mirrors" as Jim Hendrix would say (a title of one of his songs). Thus inherent to the intellect, which corresponds to Air, we have dualism.

Here the veiled one speaks. Something just beyond our comprehension. We interpret the communication as sound which is another form of light that was expounded on in the Earth chapter. Light and sound - great companions in the mysteries. The voices may be those of our inner self booming forth what the here now arrived being in Yesod needs to hear.

With the words here I am tempted to think of Heh final of Tetragrammaton (YHVH) who "sittest upon the earth" as daughter (of YH) and bride of the Son, Vav, and who is "not greater than thy mother" who abides in Binah. Maybe an egging on, an encouraging admonishment? Surely we are but specks of dust in our outer forms and we are also Lords of Glory. Dualism again in our Glory being hidden beneath outer forms of our physical bodies (animal nature) which may be referred to as the unclean dog.

I think that is all I can muster for now.

Duant is a variant spelling if Duat (Tuat), the Egyptian underworld.
