The most confusing of all the texts I've read.
I understood nothing of it at all. 😕
Damn this stuff is hard. I've got a Honors degree in Literature and I feel like my 3 year old self trying to read the Old Testament. shrugs helplessly

    LOL
I was thinking along the same lines this morning, after reading the chapter

since this is a Bhakti practice, I'd say: don't struggle with it, don't lean too much to the analyzing side; just enter the world that the words create, try to * feel *them as your own, coming from within, and be open to notice the impressions that arise (and write them down, of course - for the sake of scientific method 😀 )

Thanks a lot for that advice. I'll re-read it in evening ritual and do what you suggest!

Joy, the words are bursting & overflowing with Joy, the whole chapter is like ever-expanding waves of Joy that gradually contract into a single point (verses 31-32 )and then expand from it (33-39, the frenzy, utter Madness of Joy) only to reach it yet again - with even more intensity (40-50) .... to self-annihilation which is a new birth (51-60).

A Mighty Wheel, turning and turning, blinding rivers of Light bursting from it, the dark still point of No-thing in its center.

Fullness and emptiness, engorgement and envelopment, the swaying of Kadmos' daughters enthralled by the thunderbolt's son. As the swelling Nile completely floods desert lands, this copulation of matched pillars and form-destroying invocation erupts in terrible joy, worship of unspeakable torment. "All the wine of it is on these lips." The firm yields, the grapes are pressed, the certainty of attainment is declared.

    Full embrace of form,
    The many-colored light
    We dance in together
    For when you are up,
    I am down,
    And when you are falling,
I am catapulted to the stars.
    Soon, soon!
Our roles will be reversed again.
And we'll call it a revolution.
