six and fifty

"I am Nuit, and my word is six and fifty. Divide, add, multiply, and understand." - L I:24-5
I am trying to make sense of this verse & I am not sure if I am on the right track.
What I am gathering from the verse, at this point, is that it seems to point to Nuit as Binah...I base this on "understand" - also, 50/6=8.333....is this a reference to 8=3? 50+6=56, NV...but 50x6=300, Shin, which I cannot approximate with Binah...am I on the wrong track?93 93/93

Six = Vav = Taurus in the Tarot; 50 = Nun = Scorpio. Taurus and Scorpio are opposites, showing Nuit as all-encompassing. Six is a glyph of the Sun, and therefore Life and the Father - Fifty is a glyph of Death and also Binah, the Mother, because it has 50 Gates of Understanding - also Kali wears a necklace of 50 skulls according to some. Therefore, in this statement, Nuit shows herself to contain the entire zodiac, the duality of life & death, and the duality of Father/Male & Mother/Female.

Ah! I missed the Taurus/Scorpio connection...Taurus=Nuit & Scorpio=Babalon, as in Star Ruby - thanks IAO131

Nuit thus comprehends All in None.
Also 50+6=56=5+6=11, the key to all Rituals.
And 50X6=300, the Spirit of the Child within.
(Note NFic=72, the Shemhamphorash and the Quinaries of the Zodiac, etc.)
This is the second practice of Intelligence (ccxx,I:24,25)." -

93 KVRB,
Old thread, I know, but lately I've been working on these verses from a different point-of-view with some interesting finds. Here's my notes so far.
"Recent meditations of the first chapter of our most Holy Book, Liber AL vel Legis have yielded some interesting results. I would like to share some ideas/discoveries (even if they only mean anything to me) with you. The verses in question are AL I:24-25.
"I,24: I am Nuit, and my word is six and fifty.
I,25: Divide, add, multiply, and understand."
I will not go into what has already been written about these verses because though I believe they yield some fantastic results I also believe that they are lacking inspiration for me, there must be a further mystery here.
To start we must look at verse 24. It is a declarative statement of who is speaking and what Her 'word' is. Now 'six and fifty' being taken as 56 we can easily conclude that She is referring to Her name 'NV' N=50+V=6; however the next verse lets on that there is a further mystery that is locked within the Name! "Divide, add, multiply, and understand." says the Goddess beckoning Us to unveil her nakedness! So now, how do we begin to unravel this arcanum? By starting at the beginning. We take 56 and do what we have been instructed to do, of which the first step is to divide. To divide is to separate into two or more parts and since two is the first number we can separate anything into we shall use it.
56/2=28 (28 a number of Venus)
Our next step is to add. What shall we add? It has been given to us already!
28+50=78 (78 the number of cards of the ROTA, encompassing all existence)
Next we must multiply by the number that is left untouched.
78x6=468
At first 468 does not seem all that pertinent to our formula but a deeper look will show us we are right on track.
468=
BThNDIB-a princes daughter
NBIVTh-Heights
BNThIV-daughter
ChLLTh-begin
BThINV-house
AHBThNI-love
VThZNH-a harlot
ZNVThH-whoredom
ThBINV-to understand468/3=156
468/6=78
468/9=52
468/13=36
468/18=264+6+8=18= DVGH-a fishhook = N(fish)+ V(hook)= NV = 56
468-418=50 (Nun) which could be viewed as the K&C of the HGA(418) + crossing the abyss and entering Binah(50) is the way to Nuit (468)
and lastly,
468(Nuit) + 309(ShT who is Hadit) = 777
The question still stands, what is Her 'word' that equates to 468? It must surely be as a ray of unimaginable Light illuminating the darkness of our understandings once found. The search goes on."
Right track or no it works for me and has opened some avenues of thought previously un-tread.

This must have been spotted before, but in Hebrew Gematria 6=Vav and 50=N. So VN. But since Hebrew is written right to left "Vav Nun" = Nu.

Huh? Youre saying that six adn fifty is 'Nu'? Have you read any of the posts in this thread or any of the comments to the verse by Crowley? They all say that.

I have a personal interpretation of this verse, but I can hardly see the point of sharing it on this forum at present. For now I ask did not Crowley Himself refer to "Aiwass" as manifestly employing a Qabbalah of a "Higher Order"? I think if we agree on that, then we may ask might not all these numerical analogies be pointing to this "Higher Qabalah"? Of note is "the Alamantrah Working" and the reference to the index 6 and "the Qabalah of Angels".
