Mass Wine Shock
-
I was visiting family in AZ & met a group of Thelemites at a local bookstore who invited me to attend a private Mass. Having been to two other Masses at different bodies I readily said yes, as I had quite an enjoyable time at the others. Well, when the time came for me to consume the eucharist, I was handed a cake of light along with a small dessert style wine glass half-filled with what was obviously semen. I might had been fine with this had I been warned prior to attending but under the circumstances I just turned around & walked out. The past two Masses that I have attended included no such factor. I am wondering if this is a common inclusion for private Masses.

I have been part of a mass which was very similiar to the one you speak of when I lived near Sedona."
I'll pm you...

That a group would invite an outsider to a private Mass without informing them in advance displays really poor judgement. There are serious issues of trust involved when working with menstrual blood and sperm, such as concern over the risk of AIDs.
You may want to verify whether what you perceived as "sperm" may not have been, in fact, the leavings of red wine, which can have a similar texture.

I had gotten really friendly with one of the Sorors there (maybe a case of too much too soon), but the rest of the body were virtually strangers.
Again, I might have been fine with it had I known prior.

I have not been in further contact with any of the individuals involved. I am now back in my hometown.
