One-eyed child

One-eyed in the sense of having lost the use of one of two eyes?
I only ask because the loss of an eye would tend to suggest "partial vision" or a wounded or as-yet-incomplete perspective. A cyclops could mean something more along the lines of "single focus" or "narrow focus," which could be good or bad, depending on the context. These are your dream symbols, so as my interpretation goes - your actual mileage may vary.
You might do a little internet research into the basic technique of Active Imagination. This was a technique of Jung's that attempts to let the unconscious symbol "act out" what it represents and maybe fill in some gaps. It's pretty much just a form of meditation on the symbol where you give it (actually your subconscious) freedom to move and speak without consciously manipulating it.
Also, it doesn't necessarily fit onto the Tree of Life. There is, of course, child symbolism both on the ToL and in the Tarot (Key 19 or Atu XIX, as you prefer). But your symbol isn't always a child, and that's important to note. It may refer to something more along the lines of varying "degree of innocence" or "degree of maturity". Again, your actual mileage may vary.
You own associations with the Far East are going to come into play more importantly than anyone else's. You'll have to look into what the East represents to your own intellectual and emotional history. You may want to try to write a list of absolutely everything that comes to mind when you think about these places. Some of the associations will probably stand out to you as being more relevant.

"Hello All,
In the last 2-3 months, I have had several dreams in which a one-eyed person has figured, usually as a child.
I initially feel some apprehension at meeting this one-eyed entity but, nevertheless, I engage with 'it' in an open and friendly way. The person then reciprocates with similar warmth and then the dream ends. On two occasions the setting has been in a non-specific Far Eastern country like Thailand, Cambodia or Vietnam, none of which I have visited.
My studies to date has not given me any information about the significance of a one-eyed child/person. Is anyone able to provide me with any pointers as to how this image fits into the Tree of Life?
Thank you.
Regards,
R."
Kether or Tiphareth.
Its a dream, though, and doesnt really mean much. Dreams can be set just about anywhere your imagination can muster, let alone reproduce from movies youve seen. Also: A vision of even the crowned & conquering child does not make you that child (a vision of a bodhisattva doesnt make you a bodhisattva).

well this is a co-incidence, I was going to post a new thread in the general discussion area concerning a recurring dream of mine of growing ¨wings¨ sort of like an angel the first time these wings were pure white, that dream in particular was ironically very violent and one(or some) of my feathers were forcibly removed to draw blood. More recently though at least the last two times my wings have had some grey mixed in with the white almost like the grey that develops with age?? any pointers?

Could be sexual.

"Could be sexual."
I wonder why you say so but yes, you may be right the last dream did subsequently have some sexual content.

I don't know, it may be sexual, maybe not. That was just my first impression as I read over your first post. I'm not a Freudian who sees sexual symbolism in everything, but you can't rule it out as a possibility.
It was your subconscious that presented you with this image so you're the only one who can unlock its meaning. Try to recall as many details as possible. How was the child clothed (if at all)? You said the setting was in the Far East, did you recognize the child's ethnicity? I don't want to know myself, but these sort of details will help shape your understanding.
One thing that strikes me is the composite nature of the image; the eye and the child. I don't recall ever seeing an image like this either, but there is a lot of information available about each one individually. The answer will probably be in figuring out why your subconscious presented you with this particular combination.

Three images came up for me.
1.Cyclops, of course.
"When Odysseus must leave his home to fight in the Trojan War, he never imagines that he'll be away from his family for so many years. Now, at long last, he is leading his men across the seas. But many dangers await them -- and none is more terrifying than Polyphemus, the one-eyed giant.
Odysseus and his men have defeated the one-eyed giant, but its curse plagues them at every turn. Cast out to the open seas by the wind god, Odysseus and his men face giant cannibals and outwit a beautiful witch, who reveals Odysseus's next challenge -- a journey to the mysterious and feared land of the dead."Are you Odysseus? Does this story bring up anything for you?

The all seeing eye of Horus. The eye on the one dollar bill, over the pyramid.

Bible quote:
Luke 11:34
The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
Just what associations came up.

93,
Does anyone know the story in Jung's Memories, Dreams, Reflections about the massive, luminous, one-eyed phallic figure he sees on the throne? Where the voice says, "That is the man-eater?"
He describes the dream in Chapter One, about 12 pages in. Being Jung, he naturally mythologizes it, and several biographers have suggested it actually related to some sort of sexual interference he'd suffered in real life. But his own interpretation is that it it is a ritual phallus - sacred, not profane, and that at the time, he didn't know what he was seeing.
Worth reading in this context, perhaps.
As for putting your own dream image on the Tree, it could go in several places - Yod for phallus, Yesod for genitalia, or Tiphereth, since Raphael, Archangel of Tiphereth, presides in the East (= Thailand, Cambodia). The fact that it's a child you see also indicates Tiphereth.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the third eye, ajna chakra?
Of course, it could very well be sexual, a representation of your own sexual enlightenend being.
Imagery which will mean the most to you will come from some self-analysis. Do some association with Thailand/Cambodia, children, one eyed people, and the feelings these things and places evoke. It will help.

Yeah, I didn't jump in because I assumed everyone was already talking about Old One-Eye, aka the One-Eyed Love...
