The Stele of Revealing and Heart Scarabs
-
A quick FYI:
As is commonly known, The Stele of Revealing has inscribed on the back of it a verse taken from The Book of Going Forth by Day (falsely named, the Book of the Dead). Chapter 30A. In addition, however, it was common practice for the deceased to be addorned with a heart Scarab necklace. These Sarabs were inscribed on the back with the same verse. One translation is:
"Formula for not allowing the heart of N to be removed from him
My heart of my mother, my heart of my mother, my heart of my earthly being
Do not stand against me as witness beside the lords of the ritual
Do not say against me, he did do it, about my actions
Do not make a case against me beside the great god
Hail my heart, Hail my heart
Hail my entrails, Hail those gods
At the fore, tressed, resting upon their sceptres
Tell my goodness to Ra, hand me to Nehebkau
See him, uniting the earth at the great one within
May I endure on earth, not die in the west, and be a blessed spirit there"-Eighteenth Dynasty Book of the Dead on papyrus, preserved in Hannover (Kestner Museum 1970.37), published in the Book of the Dead project of Bonn and Cologne Universities (Munro 1995).

Aiwass Study Group - Introduction to Hieroglyphs for Magicians
An introduction to the basics of reading Egyptian Hieroglyphs, and how they were used in magick.
The word "Hieroglyph" means "sacred inscription". Myth informs us that it was a gift to humanity from the God Tahuti. This beautiful writing is a complex system of sound-signs and ideograms. We will go over the basic principles of hieroglyphs. You will learn how to write your name, the names of some of the Gods, and some basic vocabulary. We will examine how hieroglyphs were used in spells and as amulets.
We will also read the hieroglyphs on the Stele of Revealing. If you have a copy of "The Holy Books of Thelema" by Aleister Crowley you may want to bring it, as we will be using the translations in there.Saturday, January 23, at 6:00 pm at

Sounds like an amazing class.
If you find anything interesting in your reading of the Stele that the Gardiner-Gunn translation missed, please post on this forum.
