Do only the Will or do the Everything?

"You need, ultimately, to be nonresisting to any experience."Jim - I'm interested how this "non-resistance" plays out in a practical way. If all phenomena is to be taken as a personal message from the Universe to oneself, is it a matter of "reading the signs" and taking the path of least resistance ("Nu! the hiding of Hadit"; "Nu is my refuge") or is one supposed to overcome every obstacle that arises no matter what?
I hear stories of adepts persevering in the face of unbelievable ordeals and this just sounds like a masochistic spectacle.."
Masochism requires pain. Pain is a consequence of resistence. (Think about that and see where it leads you...)
Another clue: The key is to be devoured by experience - to let it swallow you up entirelty. This is, at the very least, the practical key to courage.

93, In other words you created your own version from the Class A document? I'm kind of speed reading here, but it looks like all that is basically your own interpretations and work, not really attributed to Crowley.
-
idk, she might have a point though for example:
she was saying how jim's "nonresistence" is passive, while her interpretation of love of the HGA is active, right?
now, love under will: "under" lets say first impression would be severity.
and, love unto will: "unto" first impression would be mercy.like under would be active, and unto would be passive.
so hers would be vise versa comparied to crowley's and jim's:
love under will "active" , nonresistence "passive"
love unto will "passive", love of HGA "active"active and passive spirit pentagrams? or am i looking too far into it.
but in all i could have just pulled this out of my ass, weather its relevant or not idk, but it is a refreshing thought.
IMO "unto" does sound refreshing for some reason, like a glimps at faustian's sacrificing of a part of yourself to yourself for knowlege and power. like a water element type feal to it.

As far as I know Crowley never expressed any doubts that he heard the word 'under' correctly."
And Rose didn't correct it when she made her (accepted as authorized) few annotations on the manuscript.

Speaking for myself, it leads to an extreme sense of humor. It made me realize one of the traits of True Will is hardcore play..
-
Not at the same time. Crying first, laughing afterwards.
Fixity and rigidity opposes play, so hardcore play would be something that stirs up stuff from the unconscious, breaks up rigidity, liquifies forms, sets things in motion, causes changes that normally might take years to occur.

How about if I give you a visual metaphor instead?

The "Visual metaphor" was a link to a YouTube video of tornadoes titled "Tornado Violent and Beautiful." It is several storm chaser vids in a sort of montage.
Or are you saying you are lost on how the metaphor works out?
Or wait, maybe it is just one long tornado. I didn't have the sound on the first time I watched.

"but have you thought that sometimes when you reorganise your thoughts into general archetypes, then it's specifically to hide them?"
Yes, I have. I just don't see the point in mentioning sordid details unless you were going through something similar and looking for help, which I seriously doubt.

"From the perspecive of the HGA, as seen in the vision, all matter is black. The light of the HGA is so bright that all matter appears as a shadow, if it is seen at all. But when the HGA extends it Will and creates a unity of itself with Malkuth (in love), it has a vessel with senses with which it can see all the beautiful colours and forms of the world, hear them, etc, and they are all beautiful to the HGA and all are loved. Therefore, as vessels of the HGA we are made from the divine Will unto Love, for loves sake, of love, by the Will of the HGA and we walk our entire lives in the absolute and unswearvering Love of the HGA.
This should give us great confidence when it comes to facing the ordeals.
"
I'm not sure about the "unto vs, under" issue, but this is well said.

Some interesting stuff, Alrah.
Though: change the books? A change of perspective is enough.
