49.Yea, also verily Thou art the cool still water of the wizard fount. I have bathed in Thee, and lost me in Thy stillness.

Yeah yeah yeah, above the abyss perspective: below you are sundered, above it is a bath in a cool fount. Now Imagine some additional comments here that really have nothing to do with my immediate circumstances, but go on in a rather cold, abstract tone about the value of stillness, the image of a fount (root, spring), and the general all-purpose interpretation of what it means to lose oneself.

50.That which went in as a brave boy of beautiful limbs cometh forth as a maiden, as a little child for perfection.

The formula changes. First, we work, we churn, we're forward in our advances, even rash, adolescent, inexperienced, awkward, full of posturing: PUER.

But the boy is well proportioned, so Venus/Libra/Saturn are active forces working on the boy, as well as being ideals after which he strives.

And then it changes, which is to say, for those of us below this change, we should keep working! And desire doesn't go away, it just changes its aspect.

So, at the point at which it changes, after the critical experience, we are different—it is no longer about pushing, and striving, and days filled with hours and hours of meditation and ritual, as important as that is. After the said experience, it is about being receptive, devoted, balanced, graceful even: PUELLA. Herein the virtues of Venus/Libra/Saturn are dominant, organic and spontaneous.
