tears with meditation
-
The techinique I use is that published in the Black Pearl, in the article Give Youself a Break.Often the tears come pouring out, without alot of attached emotion. The emotion or judgement comes afterward, in the thinking about it.
It was suggested that this might go away with practice. It doesn't appear to. In fact it has recently begun to happen in a hatha yoga class, in front of others, which brings back the judgemental thoughts.
Why does this happen? Do you all suppose it will always be like this?
I wouldn't care so much what others would think, if I understood it better myself. -
Are your eyes only tearing, or is it more along the line of sobbing?
Would you be so kind as to denote the volume and page number of the exercise?
I am reticent to offer any suggestions, as I am not familiar with the exercise.

Volume 1, page 16, 18 in my pdf. It is a very basic mantra meditation. I chose the suggested mantra of Heru-pa-kraath. Usually sitting at the edge of a chair, back straight.
But I use the mantra quite a bit throughout the day as well.I wouldn't call it tearing as my eyes don't feel stressed or dry. In the hatha class my eyes were closed.
