A.C. on human being
-
dear all,
can you help me with references for the following: any of A.C.'s larger or smaller works & texts (even footnotes) that you can think of where he is speaking directly about human being as such (not necessarily giving definition, but that would be most wanted )edit: besides Liber L and its commentaries, that is
- I was not sure where to put the topic, so I apologize if this is the wrong place, admins please correct me - I'll relocate it (delete here and move to where it fits better )

Hi Danica ,
Can you be a little more specific? Are you talking about personal ethics, experience, and/or cultural tendencies? He covers a lot of human condition stuff in The Law is for All and Magick without Tears. MWT is great for specific topic exploration -- it's all indexed and stuff.
Excerpt from Magick without Tears:
*Now do you see the point of the digression? By "wrong" we mean anything that evokes dissent or protest from either Neschamah or Nephesch, or both.
People spoke to me, people whose experience and judgment in all matters of Sacrifice to Dionysus had my very fullest assent and admiration; they told me that of all drinks, the best was Beer. So I have wanted for many years to drink it. I can't. I once tasted a few drops on the end of a teaspoon. They told me that wasn't quite the same thing!
That's Nephesch.
I cannot bear to do any unkind action, however wise, necessary, and all the rest of it. I do it, but "it hurts me more than it hurts you" is actually true for me. (This only applies where the other party is unable to retaliate: I love hurting a stout antagonist in a fair fight.)
That's Neschamah.*
I don't know why I picked that.
Hope all is well! Message me on Facebook sometime.
EDIT: Oh crap! How could I forget Liber Aleph? That's ALL about the human condition. And Liber OZ for the Thelemic "Bill of RIghts", of course.

Are you working for the 2012 campaign or something? "
working on an essay.. to crown the end of one large phase of my formal academic education
@ Frater 639:
yes, thank you! MWT and Aleph are definitely on my list!

Dear Danica,
mr. Crowley, as he declared himself as the Logos of the new era, or the prophet of the same. Is not long as simple clerk of the higher ntelligence. And among other things, one of his fortune he had in his life.
At the same time in his diaries he has recorded, a disappointment whit that magical work, he has noted his wandering through Paris and other cities, without a single pound in his pocket. And these are actually material results on material level of the Paris opus, or others similar of the Works.
Rich vision were rewarded him. But no one ever did not get a single breakfast in a hotel after such visions has happened. If You living in Serbia, you could contact some persons who has really reach
experience in that field eg. acquaintance with late Mr. K. Grant, and the like.
Mr. K. Grant, had possessed all the unpublished writings of Crowley. And they were quite extensive.93

93,
You're going to have to be more specific.
There are statements such as "Every man and every woman is a star" which can be taken as a statement about human beings. There are also statements such as "There is no god but man" which can also be taken as a statement about humans. There are also statements abotu the nature of the Will of humans, the nature of perception, the nature of discipline, ethics, our problems, etc. It's endless.

Danica, I haven't jumped in because I still really don't know what you're asking. As others have suggested, more specific and pointed questions would be helpful.

Jim, I was not thinking of you here, people on this forum!! ( btw, the question I initially asked was broad, so the answers I received were quite satisfactory.)
I had in mind teachers at my university, philosophy department, to be specific.@Sardonyx said

yeah. I guess the situation is similar everywhere around the world. formal academy is afraid of esoteric subjects, even today! but nevertheless, we can accept the circumstances as they are - and work within the given boundaries. the important thing is to work - and to rejoice, of course

In my opinion of the context, as an extension of the initial theme,
I think that these things still still have the Hermetic nature. So they are closed
to the public, to some extent.
In Crowley's works, in addition to the many generous explanation.
There are many "traps" for inexperienced beginners, and also advanced practitioners as well.
I think that there is no such thing in Crowley's works, eg. definition or similar
on Human Being, or something like that.
At least, not literally as some as formula or the similarly.93
