Meditation Patterns for the Aces in Liber T
-
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
Lately, I have been using an American Sidereal Ephemeris (the one with an introduction by Mr. Eshelman) to help me select which Tarot cards to meditate on. I would now like to start following some of the mediation methods in Liber Theta to really take in the symbolism of the cards, but I've encountered just this one single snag in my intellectual grasping of the book:
Why is it that Leo is included in the meditation pattern for the Ace of Wands, Nun for the Ace of Cups, etc? This is really the only thing I can't wrap my head around in the whole book. Each of these cards has the 5, 6, and 7 of the Minor Arcana in their respective suits, but that's the only similarity I could find. In the past, I've arranged my cards to represent the Four Worlds, and the Trumps under question fall into a sort of "middle pillar" under that arrangement, but I can't confidently draw anything else of significance from this.
Further explanation on why these cards were included in the meditation patterns for the Aces would be very helpful.
Thank you so much for providing this priceless, inexhaustible publication for free, Mr. Eshelman!
Love is the law, love under will.

These are the Kerubic ("Fixed" or "Hub") signs of each element. Within Tarot, they and the actual elemental cards (Mother letters plus Tav) are the defining and focussing expressions of the elemental ideas.
So, for the "Root of Fire" (Ace of Wands), the supportive ideas are Shin (attributed to Fire itself) and Teth (attributed to Leo, the Kerub of Fire).

You're welcome. Glad it's of value to you.

Whoa, that's awesome!!
And, of course, now that you say it, it seems so obvious...
I'm grateful beyond words for all the help you've lent me this year. Thanks again, Mr. Eshelman.
