    Seven of Wands
    VALOR

Meditation Pattern: Place Atu XVI, The Tower, and Atu XI, Lust, side-by-side, with the 7 of Wands above them.

Traditional Description: Six wands, three crossed against three, with a seventh wand upright, which passes between them. Flames leap from the point of junction. Above and below the central wand are the symbols Mars and Leo, representing the decanate.

Netzach of Fire: Enthusiasm, zeal, passion. Courage amidst opposition.

Mars/Leo: Valor, zeal, passion; opposition, obstacles, and difficulties, yet courage and self-confidence to meet them; possible victory, depending on the energy and courage exercised; quarreling fueled by ignorance or limited and parochial view; pretense; threatening. Also, victory in small and unimportant things; influence upon subordinates.

Venus + Mars: Passion; emotional force and vitality. A fiery love-impulse; defense of loved ones. If ill-dignified: dissatisfaction, outbursts of extreme emotion, conflict fueled by highly personal and emotional point of view, quarreling.

    • Passion, sex, longing, explosive sexual energy, sexual drive so intense that it’s impossible to ignore.
    • The central wand looks like penis… it is gnarled, as if the energy flow through it was in phases, with halts, that’s how the knuckles were formed.
    • I see the lightening flash on Atu XVI today as the snake, it’s the same Snake that Atu XI symbolically portrays; Peh (Mars) aspect of Teth (Leo): there is a violent side to this energy, an explosive tendency, it can destroy everything made out of matter if left neglected, if not recognized and “tamed”… to cultivate this inner Snake properly, it must be dedicated to the Holy of Holiest (loyalty as virtue of Netzach).

    • Raw, natural force becomes refined and uplifted by the virtue of its Purity; it’s perfect as it is (none of it should be cast away, there’s nothing superfluous in this force), refinement comes from being-focused Upwards, into one single direction; from “inflame thyself in prayer”.
    • Dedication, genuine Loyalty, commitment, adherence; the Virtue of continual dedication to the Divine.
    • Valor: to endure many, many experiences without loosing mental and especially *emotional *sight (focus of attention) of the Beloved.
    • As if all these other wands actually came out of this one gnarled, raw wand in the foreground – it’s their “basic form”, their natural foundation. (Analogy of biological life forms comes to mind: even the most complex ones, like humans, are based in the most simple ones; it’s the essential life-force itself that makes all of this variety possible, One force in its many forms; Seven of wands is seeing this, living in accordance with it).

    • The energy of conflict that is channeled into Love (the essence of Victory in every form); perceiving the constructive ways of using own natural sexual power; it’s like walking on a tiger’s tail in I Ching (Hexagram 10): if you are conscious of what you’re doing (aware of the danger, too) and are doing it with pure heart (without lust for results), the tiger will not bite you.
    • Peh and Teth are the two horizontal paths that mark the “borders” of the human ego!
    • All the Sevens have their virtue in Liber Astarte, in Bhakti approach to life (which with continuity and intensification becomes Para-bhakti of Hesed); with Wands, it’s the symbolical Fire-aspect of own being that becomes empowered, inflamed, energized by this; it may be understood as cultivation of human will to become as perfect as possible channel for the Divine Will, or Hadit.

    Day one:
Going ape shit, going HAM (hard as a motherfucker), balls to the wall, pedal to the metal, pushing it to the limit, going all out, going all-in, desperation, "hail-mary-ing" it, being a loose cannon, being a hot-head, last stand, "come at me, bro!", kamikaze, intermittently-explosive, down for whatever, running and gunning, full court press, blitz, martyrdom, being testy, biting the bullet, the amount of energy expended is disproportionate to that which is needed to deal with the situation, tenacity

    Day two:
Bravery, boldness, cantakerous, being pushy, do or die, all or nothing, being excessively prideful, YOLO mentality, if well dignified effective use of one's power

    Day three:
grinding it out, beer balls, being extremely stubborn, being completely and utterly un-coachable to one's own detriment, flying off the handle, toughing it out, going for broke, complete and utter refusal to be defeated
