I for one find dance to be my strongest link to mystical states of consciousness.

I get "up & out" and get flooded with a ton of (extra-physical) energy after about 15 minutes of sustained dance.

It then becomes very easy to move it around at that point.

As I "come down" I can then focus it to ground out in a particular intention.

    How about you?

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law,

I think that's great. People get wrapped up in strict ways of finding higher levels. They miss some of the easy stuff. Personally I mantra with sesame street, row, row, row your boat, and mr. roger's neighberhood.

Listen to row, row, row, your boat. It was I think written by a very enlightened being.

Row, row, row your boat. Gently down the stream.

    • The stream of life. Row down stream. With the current, not against it.

    Merrily, merrily, merrily,

    • Life is inherently playful. If life is a choice, then even the suffering we go through must be chosen by us. And if we choose to subject ourselves to so much suffering, then we must secretly love it. Life is then seen as one long blissful play.

    Life is but a dream

    • And so it ends with an analogy to the ultimate nature of existence

Anyway, have a great day y'all

I can't say it's one of my favored methods of mystical momentum, but I will say that some of my highest spiritual moments have been in mosh pits. What a microcosm of connected humanity! Savikalpa samadhi at the Hollywood Palladium...

I suppose there are several forms, yet I shall cover my favourite.

This involves an open fire, consecrated.
A little of the holy herb along with a glass of wine.
Preferably all the above but often find myself without the latter 2.
Plus some good incense along with a few candles, just to heighten the mood.

I sit cross-legged in front of the flame, speak the words which come to mind as I smoke, then drink, then relax. Sometimes I proceed with a personal Mantra, really depends on what feels right at the time.

This is followed by a state of trance and visions after which a writing or artistic frenzy arises, simple yet extremely effective.

    "I for one find dance"

I agree! Being from the Southwest I know that dance has had a very long tradition of mysticism in my culture. Has anyone tried drumming? What a trip! 😄

I can definitely appreciate free-style dancing as a form of worship and ecstatic motion to the higher self [Nuit] and to the embrace of Love with one's Angel. But, I must say that the tonal repurcussions of the drum during an all night Petote is defintely an undefinable experience with longer lasting appeal. 😀

That said, it seems incumbent upon each aspirant to choose their own mode of expression with the divine within them.
