Righteousness - Internal Coherence

I have recently had a sort of realization after becoming sick with bronchitis for the third time in a year. I would like to see what others think of this however. I am starting to see that if one does not act according to one's beliefs it leaves the body and mind in a state of dis-ease. And one is more prone to becoming ill physically and generate complexes in the mind. If one knows what is right and does not do it, does one generate bad karma? If one puts oneself into a practice but not with all they are capable, does it corrupt the ego? I noticed in Raja Yoga vivekenanda mentions that one must give all one's efforts to god. If one only does this partially, how does it affect the individual?

93,
I don't think it's that cut-and-dried. Different people have different expectations of themselves, and will get different results.
In your case, it sounds (from what you say here, and how you express it) that you are trying to be perfect real fast. If that is the case, it might be more useful to look at *why *you see things in that self-demanding way, rather than keep on trying to be absolutely in tune with the divine ... and ending up getting sick repeatedly.
Lust of result in such a pronounced form can be very destructive to our deeper goals, and might be more the cause of the bronchitis you get than a failure to conform to the HGA's expectations.

The way I had seen it is that by having my mind half way devoted, half way not I was pulling my mind in 2 seperate directions creating much stress for myself.

Sure, but that's the divided condition we're all in until (I imagine) we're pretty close to the K&C, and we don't all get repeated bronchitis.
Some of us are prone to certain afflictions because that's how our bodies are. There are presumably karmic reasons for this, but it's easier to opt for medication than try to perform an auto-karma-ectomy.

If you are willing to replace the word "belief" with "one's nature" then I will agree with you. Yesterday I was reading some Marcus Aurelius and he mentioned to me (yes, it was a heated debate) that equanimity was your ability to put yourself in accordance with your own nature, and that to me is addressing both the issue of not mixing the planes, and the True Will in general.
Yes, you generate instant karma. You are getting sick repeatedly b/c you are repeating the actions that lead to the same consequence.

Do you remember in the Matrix when Morpheus tells neo that if you die in the matrix, you die in real life because your mind "makes it real"? Also when you watch certain commercials, or movies, and are moved to emotional expression knowing that the media is fictitious however you still feel the emotions? The mind makes them real.
This happens with disease in the body. A domino effect. When you start to feel a symptom in your body, you start to manifest the subsequent aspects of a dis-ease until your body is sick again, and you get that "satisfaction" of being fully sick. If when you start feeling the dis-ease you think to yourself "the mind makes it real, the mind can make it unreal" and then focus on getting better, even imagine that you are getting better, you can stop falling out of balance, and rebalance yourself.
There is also a breathing exercise that involves breathing in, focusing the dis-ease area(sore muscle, nauseous stomach, ache or pain) and then imagine it leaving your body as you breathe out. This technique is very effective for fixing cramps in women I've taught it to. Just imagine you're getting better, remember that satisfaction you normally feel at the end of a dis-ease, except feel it now, and you won't unbalance.

Thanks all for the advice, this is a truely great community here. I agree with what all y'all said, I think it is a combination of all those things. I think I now know what I need to do.
