    From Patanjali's aphorisms:
47.When the mind has become thoroughly identified with the boundlessness of space, the posture becomes steady and pleasant.

    From Raja Yoga:
47.We can make the posture firm by thinking of the infinite.

What is the connection here? Why would thinking of the infinite sky cause the body to become firm, steady, and pleasant?

If you are identified with boundless space, what is it that is in a firm, steady, and pleasant posture?

    😉

I have found that when the mind is also in asana, so to speak, there is no longer and need to try to remain steady. The movement of the body and movement of the mind are connected.
