Correct. - See, for example, published copies of the Hexagram Ritual. Fire is in the East, Water in the North, Air in the West, Earth in the South.
Here's the wheel from Levi's Magic made from the Ezechiel quotes:

I see in Ezechiel's quotes GD ADNI formula Being - Earth - Ox, Water - Man, Fire - Lion, Air - Eagle.
But GD IHVH formula is not clockwise form Ezechiel - from where could it be? Maybe from St. John - Book of Revelations? We connect the two quotes from St. John and see what we get: East - Fire - Lion, North - Earth - Calf, South - Water - Man, West - Air - Eagle. Going clockwise we get GD IHVH. Any thoughts?
I think Ezechiel and St. John are writing about the same Merkabah, but make it differently. What do you think? What do you think what is the layout of the Merkabah and it's formula? -
This may be a bit off your intended topic but I'm wondering if you are referring to the same Merkaba/Merkabah which Drunvalo Melchizedek discusses in his Flower of Life books. As far as I understand it the Merkaba is associated with the formation and strengthening of the star tetrahedron energy field, which is used to transport one's consciousness to "higher dimensions", through specific pranayama and meditative techniques. I've read different techniques on accomplishing this and none of them mention anything about the lion, calf/ox, man/cherub, eagle images from Ezekiel. Where/how would the images and the four cardinal points (2-dimensional) correspond on the star tetrahedron (3-dimensional)? Are there specific Thelemic rituals that accomplish this same goal in a different way than Melchizedek describes?

I do not know if Thelema has any rites for the Merkaba, but my friends and I have come up with a way in which we can build our Merkaba with out doing the mudra's and pranayama that Drunvalo teaches. We did start out following his teachings but discovered that as a bunch of ladies we had much better results after some chakra balancing/clearing, and then connecting through our hearts to our feminine nature. The Merkaba has been used by indeginious peoples with out all the pomp and tools. we found that most of the actions were just tools to train the mind and heart, and once the conditioning had taken place, were not needed. Sort of like how a witch, at first needs a wand, and a pentacle, a cup ect to cast a spell, but over time no longer needs them.
In fact just last week, I actually had a fabulous dream in which I was at superhero training headquarters and was taught how to spin, like a top and then travel, shapeshift, or transmute! Very awsome, and just like the star tetrahedron spinning!!
I love Drunvalo! I know he is a tad off, but well I am grateful for his teachings, they have complimented my life very well, and I recommend his books, and youtube videos.
