Qadesh

93 I'm not sure if I ever posted this before or not, but a while back i ran across a adopted Egyptian goddess, Qadesh. The way she was described and her symbolism reminded me me Babalon. Have any ya'll ran across her before? 939393

Yes, she's known. There are a lot of goddesses of this type.

93 Jim, Do you know any off the top your mind? I haven't run across this yet, so it's a new study to me. Also, would you or anyone know about the correlations between Christ and Horus? I keep finding that too. 939393

The Complete Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt (Richard Wilkinson) associates Her with Hathor and the Near Eastern goddesses Anat and Astarte.

Cut across various religions and you'll find them abundantly. They aren't identical, but they are similar. She's more or less the same as Shakti or Inanna or numerous others, but with leonine and Egyptian elements (just to pick one). She's Aprhrodite but hotter and less Greek. - Get a general book on goddess traditions and you'll find dozens of similarly themed goddesses.

Well, lots. And you're already finding them. I'm not quite sure what the question is because it seems you've already gotten your answer.

93, Thank you gmugmble and Jim. I'll go digging. As far as my question, Jim, I find more hints and reference to the mythos, but nothing on the mythos themselves. Perhaps I'm just not looking right. Ok,There's a relation or similarities, but what are they? 939393

I'm sure you've seen the Isis and Harpocrates statues that were the predecessors of the nearly identical Madonna and Infant Christ child. You may even know that both are expressions of the number 8, and that 8 is a symbol not of Mercury but of the regenerative, transformative powers of the Sun.
Despite their extraordinary differences, they are both, in some senses, the same archetype. They are, in their respective aeons, the single image offered as a generic, good-for-all-people entry-level image of the Holy Guardian Angel. They are both The Son as the redemptive force, and each is born without mortal parentage.
There is a large collection of gods or redemptive heroes whose names begin with the sounds KR or ChR. One obvious example is Christ. The earliest spellings of the name "Horus" are with two hieroglyphs making exactly these sounds, as Khoor. We can add other names like Krishna and Chiram (Hiram). Other H- variants are linguistically close and may include the likes of Hermes. In some very fundamental ways, these are all the same essential idea, diversified in individual expression.

Here's an article discussing similarities between Christ and other myths.
