The Great God Pan
-
The god that I learned to assume godform with was Pan. It became a very fun year long initiation into sex, debauchery, S&M, and all the glory of the Nephesch. Eventually I got over my sexual neurosis and began to see Pan everywhere and all the time. The climax of the working was a full on ceremony using the Hymn to Pan and assumed full godform, so much so, that the officers present claimed a physical transformation had occurred... while the only thing I knew that had changed was that condition of what is in my pants.

I once ate so many mushrooms and found on my knees babbling like a goat, (bleating is the phrase?), and laughing hysterically, so hard it was almost a seizure. After the goat phase (a good hour or so), I proceeded to give my partner at the time the best (and her first!) orgasm I've ever seen elicited from a woman. This was all in the forest a good ways from anywhere, and it ranks amongst my top psychedelic experiences, like McKenna's acid trip in Nepal.
Just thought I'd share accounts.

That is awsome! I will be trying shrooms for the first time this coming thursday, I would love to see Pan, or a goat!

Wow, sounds like you had the real deal happen. I cant wait to see what happens with my experiences. I havent actually started assuming god-forms yet, but soon. I am still sorting out some things plus doing what digging I can on him first to learn as much as I can about him, and then ofcourse getting to LIber Astarte... Oh in Greek Pan is the word for "all". So yeah he is the Great God Pan.

IO PAN IO IO PAN PAN!"I am veryy happy to hear that, I was hoping this thread would be of some use. I have a question for you. When you imaging yourself as Pan in god-form, do you imagine first person? or third person view?

Well, that is tricky... um, both? If you really read the chapter on invocation, and then carefully read the instructions in Liber O I think that pretty much explains it. I don't really want to impress a "method" onto you. I actually did great just doing my own thing to "get into the mindset of a god," the technical fashion is described in Liber O and does work quite well. But some individuals may have a flair for drama and might want to be a method actor for a period of time, and for those individuals that will lend to more intense results. Some might say that both compliment each other well. I can tell you that if you read the instruction of Liber Astarte you will get even better results.
just to remember that whatever your approach is that you invoke often!

I get what you're saying, I just get confused and ask if im doing it right and what not imagining that way, flopping between 1st and 3rd person view. Also could I imagine myself as Pan? like me with horns and goat features? I think I could pull off being a young pan, with black long hair... Or should I pick a classical image?
At # 14 in Liber Astarte, stating:Yet also he may deliberately practise cruelties, where the particular Deity manifests His Love in that manner, as in the case of Kali, and of Pan. And therefore, before the beginning of his period of devotion, let him practise according to the rules of Liber Jugorum.
@ Silent1. Wondering if you did this also, and if you could expand on it, and no I havent peaked into Liber Jugorum. Yet.24. Concerning the Mantram or Continuous Prayer or for Pan, chi-alpha-iota-rho-epsilon Sigma-omega-tau-eta-rho kappa-omicron-sigma-mu-omicron-upsilon, Iota-omega Pi-alpha-nu, Iota-omega Pi-alpha-nu; I tried to find a translator for this, but I cant find out what it means.

χαιρε Σοτερ Κοσμου ΙΟ ΠΑΝ ΙΟ ΠΑΝ
...
I tried to translate it via inrenet translators, but alas.. they all seem to have no clue about those wor(l)ds!!I would translate it like this: hail to you, Lord of the Universes (Worlds), IO PAN (who are the All in One!)
...
χαιρε = 716
Σοτερ = 675
Κοσμου = 800
ΙΟ ΠΑΝ = 80+131[edited for gematria supplement]

It sounds as if you are on the right track. As for the Mantram I simply used IO Pan Pan IO IO Pan Pan IO. Worked great for me. Get around to memorizing Crowley's Hymn. I made it a part of my devotion to recite the hymn often. As for cruelties... I did practice some mild flagellation and "alternative" sexual practices. The cruelty of Pan is out of childlike insanity: the little boy trampling the flowers for the heck of it.
