The Book of Babalon

How seriously is it taken by Thelemites? It's obviously not given equal credence with Liber AL -if it were it would be included in the book- but is it considered an auxiliary text or just discarded?

I suppose that depends on the Thelemites.

I certainly don't consider it an auxiliary text to CCXX in any sense. It's a product of Jack Parsons' personal work, better than many other examples and poorer than quite a few. I don't offhand know of anyone ranking it as in the same category as the Class A documents, though I suppose there are people who do so.

An amusing compendium of egocentric hogwash. But not so amusing as his invocation of Bartzabel when 'ol Hubbard stole his girlfriend.
But highly informative: a manual of what not to do on one's way to Adeptship.
