65. So was it — ever the same! I have aimed at the peeled wand of my God, and I have hit; yea, I have hit.

For me, there is the image of a lazy Saturday morning, and a warm booty scooting around under the covers, closer and closer, trying to see if its spooning partner is awake yet, trying to find just the right spot to nestle.
Some things are just irresistable.

Dar, your imagination is not in its usual form (Or, I could imagine that you were being gracious and reserved, but then I remembered who I was talking to )
I love your post, though.

V.V.V.V.V. follows Adonai in this and roots himself in the unchanging, transcendent reality that produces no karma. But even here the 'peeled wand' is an erotic reference, and to 'aim' is to have ambition, which is to say the entire being of the Maser is turned toward the absolute, which is Pan. Hitting the mark is equated with this perfection.
I have always regarded desire as the beginning of wisdom. I recall a wry story told by an Indian saint about a devote who was lazy. She chided him that he should cultivate various selfish passions. Because, until he had some will, any will to acquire things, liberation wasn't even an option. My attitude reflects a perspective well below the abyss of course—the three gunas in full force, and where the relative value of Rajas over Tamas is important. I have desire, and I am ambitious. Ergo, I have what it takes.
"I stand in a littered space. Furtive noises and rustling in the debris about my feet make me uneasy. I sing Amazing Grace with the intention of overcoming my fears, and hopefully to invoke some real 'G'race, or at least silence the noise makers. In this place and time my angel wears the white coat of a doctor. She picks about in the rubbish finding discarded guitar cases she intends to repair. These she will give to other angels to house their guitars; and they will make music with their stringed, curved bodies with long necks. She is unimpressed by my feats of yoga."

when I first read this, the image of ATU XI struck me, and it still does - combined with Samekh/ATU XIV imagery now...

Otherwise, welcome!

The peeled wand is simply an arrow; God has hit the bullseye and the adept has emulated him by splitting that arrow with his own.
