1 July (Water) Liber LXV, 3:47-48

47. I am shed out like spilt blood upon the mountains; the Ravens of Dispersion have borne me utterly away.
48. Therefore is the seal unloosed, that guarded the Eighth abyss; therefore is the vast sea as a veil; therefore is there a rending asunder of all things. -
47. I am shed out like spilt blood upon the mountains; the Ravens of Dispersion have borne me utterly away.
48. Therefore is the seal unloosed, that guarded the Eighth abyss; therefore is the vast sea as a veil; therefore is there a rending asunder of all things. Therefore is there a rending asunder of all things: things become separated, each particle of dust existing alone, without any meaningful relationship to anything else.
"Every number is infinite; there is no difference.
1:4"The thought that would connect any two things has been sacrificed in a high place—the death of thought. The Ravens of Dispersion are the Nigredo, the solve, and the vitriol of alchemical report. I think: I am lost to myself because the Ravens of Dispersion have borne me utterly away.
Self-disintegration happens early on, as a precondition for the reconstruction of the self on a higher octave—the crystallization of the stone; the descent of the New Jerusalem; the attaining of the archetype of wholeness.
But suppose there is a second death of the self, beyond the one already described, that doesn't result in a higher integration of the psyche? A final unraveling of the myth that is not about achievement; but rather, is about absolute, un-redeemable loss—the final rape that leaves one utterly defenseless and open to the impulses flowing from beyond the dark veil of unending night. [cue sound: ominous organ music]
On the other side of this flood, should there be a transcendent entity left standing, it will only be because it cannot be destroyed; and can only be revealed in the wake of the wreck of everything else—not an accomplishment, a constructed thing; but rather, a truth that is in some measure perceivable in the hour of negative judgment.

Yes... agreeing with all the above... because the one thing happening here (and the thing that you are describing) is that the Adept here crosses the Abyss. From here on out, to the end of the chapter, this is no longer the Adept, but the Master, the initiate of Binah.
The "Ravens of Dispersion" are specifically the Q'lippoth of Netzach, the Oreb Zearch. However, like many things of Netzach, they also have a relationship to Binah - see Liber Cheth around v. 4, for example. There is also the reference to the "vast sea," the "Eighth abyss," etc. Mostly, the words describe the process.
And that's what we've seen in the last several verses: Heh the daughter, the natural soul of us all, the Nephesh, has undergone initiation to Binah.

Blessed be the time zones, for we are zoned on time.

This was written in 1907 right? Before he actually worked the 8th Aethyr fully in 1909? If so - it seems he had an inkling as to what that 8th Aethyr meant.

Yes, that's the right timing.
"If so - it seems he had an inkling as to what that 8th Aethyr meant."
I don't see your point. What does this have to do with the 8th Aethyr?

My confusion - been rushing through reading this week due to an increased workload (no excuse!). 8th Aethyr and 8th Abyss criss-crossed in my mind when trying to make sense of the verse and some of the comments.
