23 July (Fire) Liber LXV, 4:26-27
-
26. My God! Let Thy secret fang pierce to the marrow of the little secret bone that I have kept against the Day of Vengeance of Hoor-Ra. Let Kheph-Ra sound his sharded drone! let the jackals of Day and Night howl in the wilderness of Time! let the Towers of the Universe totter, and the guardians hasten away! For my Lord hath revealed Himself as a mighty serpent, and my heart is the blood of His body.
27. I am like a love-sick courtesan of Corinth. I have toyed with kings and captains, and made them my slaves. To-day I am the slave of the little asp of death; and who shall loosen our love? -

Wow, complicated. There is a lot of stuff going on in this passage. I get that this little secret bone is an inviolate core kept pure, and untouched by the travails of the universe, no matter what. Like the blood of a saint it is offered up ...or taken by force by Adonai, who is a poisonous serpent its seems.
So, as the text details, let all these things happen because I am detached from it all—poisoned/dead to it all. And finally, though I am dead, poisoned even, I am nevertheless the life blood of Adonai.
The life in me is not mine? Is this little bone the same as my heart, the life's blood of Adonai?
27. I am like a love-sick courtesan of Corinth. I have toyed with kings and captains, and made them my slaves. To-day I am the slave of the little asp of death; and who shall loosen our love?
Here things make a bit more sense to the thick coils of my brain. This last passage even helps me decode something of the 26th line. It has to do with the direction of Eros. Eros is that thing in us that causes us to desire and love something—it commits us to life and it can also commit us to death. Today's passages, in addition to the meditations from previous days, have been describing this change of direction from the outer to the inner, from the world of manifestation to the absolute void of non-manifestation.
The master loves this darkness with all of his heart. Nothing satisfies, only the nothing satisfies...

Verse 26 sounds like the symbolism of the Moon card.
The protective layers of our personalities - towers, guardians, bone - must all be pierced or bypassed, allowing this "poison" to reach our deepest levels of consciousness.
