57. O thou Serpent Apep, my Lord Adonai, it is a speck of minutest time, this travelling through eternity, and in Thy sight the landmarks are of fair white marble untouched by the tool of the graver. Therefore Thou art mine, even now and for ever and for everlasting. Amen.

57. O thou Serpent Apep, my Lord Adonai, it is a speck of minutest time, this travelling through eternity, and in Thy sight the landmarks are of fair white marble untouched by the tool of the graver. Therefore Thou art mine, even now and for ever and for everlasting. Amen.
We return to this ongoing identification of Adonai and Apep. I suspect this means something more than just a simple logical statement, a = b. It means two things as far as I can imagine them: 1. that the action of Apep is ultimately the playing out of the will of Adonai—the secret purpose of the evil of the world is to achieve the agenda of Adonai; 2. that all things are Adonai it the sense that they are Prakriti/Shakti/Shekinah.
Because of me in thee, thou art awake to me, and I to thee...
...the landmarks are of fair white marble untouched by the tool of the graver. This suggests a pristine perspective—there was no wrong of the beginning, no struggle to repair the flaws and achieve beauty, no need for human artistry to reveal buried truth. Why?
All separation is/was an illusion. Therefore Thou art mine...
In eternity nothing has changed, the finite universe with its gods and aeons is a speck of minutest time...And who cares if this be true for any of us in this moment? To assert the presence of eternity here and now is an act of worship—Bhakti.
