Qlippoth of sun sign

How do I obtain, and work with, the Qlippoth for my astrological sun sign?
Does the Qlippoth of the sun sign correspond to the Jungian shadow?
Thanks

You can get it from standard tables, such as 776 1/2, Cols. 601-603. For example, the Q'lippoth of Virgo (Line 20) are the Tzaphiriron (TzPRIRVN), "The Scratchers."
As to how to work with them... I'm inclined to say that if you don't already mostly know, then you don't yet have any business messing with them. The assignment to explor the Q'lippoth of your Sun-sign is given, for example, as the final astral exam of an A.'.A.'. 1=10, after he or she has already shown very substantial abilities in exploring (with control) various parts of the astral. - If you are experienced in hierarchical invocations that manifest (evoke) down to the Yetziratic level, then you probably already have a really good idea.

No. - The reason for the "no" is subject to debate, but I end up with the same answer which ever way I branch the reasoning.
The debate part would center around the question of whether the Q'lippoth are aspects of your own psyche, or are objective beings in their own right. If the latter, then they aren't equivalent to the Shadow. But if the former, they are still the part of your psyche which is persisting but no longer of viable use (shells, husks, etc.), whereas the Shadow is a quite vital but unconscious aspect of the ego.
I suppose one could say, though, that encounters with the Q'lippoth stir parts of your psyche equivalent to the Shadow by resonance.

My interest in the Qlippoth of my sun sign is linked with the question of whether it can shed broader, more over-arching perspective on the Shadow with respect to performing rituals. My sun sign is Aries, which is marked by independence, so the Qlippoth would be Beiriron, The Herd. So the question is, if I do a ritual aimed toward personal prosperity, am I following my individual path or giving into an underlying urge to conform - i.e. the herd instinct? Or if one's sun sign is in Virgo, which is marked by critical thinking and need for order, do the Scratchers reveal that person's underlying tendency to be negatively hypercritical in the quest for order?
I found your three moral considerations of Intent on page 111 of 776 and 1/2, especially the part dealing with the Shadow, to be useful, but was hoping the Qlippoth of the sun sign might shed further light on this area.

I know you're asking Jim, but I think the shadow is more nebulous than that. It's not the negative side to our traits; it's the things we reject, won't let ourselves do ever, have visceral reactions to.
A couple ways to "map" our shadow include:
-Making a list of all the things we think we are (e.g. "happy", "smart", etc.) and then work out the opposites.
-Make a list of all the things we do not want to be
-Observe when others' behavior triggers a negative reaction in us; at the root is usually a rejected aspect of our own shadow -
Thanks for those comments.
I already explored my personal Shadow 15 years ago when reading up on Jung and made it my personal ethos to confront every aspect of my "self" that I did not like. I believe the Self is ultimately unknowable, but residual traces of the Shadow can still affect us.
One thing that has always bothered me for the last 15 years is that I have never achieved where I wanted to be financially even though I am highly ambitious (my Moon is in Capricorn) and know the orientation of my True Will. Over this summer I carried out a personal audit, following Jim's three moral considerations of Intent, asking myself what secret benefit do I gain by not achieving more financially? The answer relates to questions of responsibility and duties. Namely my current financial state provides the perfect excuse to 1) avoid assuming the traditional role of provider in relationships 2) not start a family and 3) not be able to afford visiting my family who reside halfway around the globe. On the other hand I have lived an very interesting life, had time to pursue my creative and spiritual interests and do not have any debts. Right now I am between jobs and looking to make a radical change. I can get a desk job and survive comfortably enough, but I do not want to repeat the past. I am part of a generation that no longer expects to retire or have a pension waiting. So I am looking for a work opportunity that leads to total financial freedom within 5 years, no longer tied to employers, providing the means whereby I can support a family, buy a house, afford visiting my family, etc. for the rest of my life. Needless to say, the current financial state of the world stacks the odds against my favour.
I do not consider myself materialistic or money-hungry. Rather what is more important to me is the need for self-sufficiency and independence and to provide for myself and those I care about. I have harnessed the lessons of my past to drive myself forward, but what I want to be careful of is performing rituals that lead to worse karmic enslavement. Hence the questioning of the Shadow-side of one's intent and question about the Qlippoth of one's sun sign.
(Incidentally, while meditating on these thoughts over the summer, I sailed up the coast of Portugal for one month. At the port of Lagos, an old slave trading center, I performed a ritual in the historical center of the city. I used figs from a tree growing in the center and afterwards had a vision of an African slave sitting behind the walls, white teeth and red sensuous lips biting into the fig, the sensation of warm sunlight on the skin, an overwhelming feeling of gratitude...The themes from that vision are still playing out in my life today)
