Creative Visualization
-
I read a book on this subject years ago and I was wondering if you meditated on a goal and visualized it happening if you could influence it to happen. I mean sitting spine straight emptying the mind and then visualizing what you want to happen. I was wondering if this would work and if any of you practiced it. It seems to work for me because when I fish I visualize a large fish taking my bait and I have good luck fishing.

Yes. There's a bit more to it than you say, but the basic answer is: sure!

Deepak Chopra wrote about that in one of his books. As I recall, he said to go into meditation first, and then within the silence, to visualize your goal. And that you have to not be attached to your goal and not worry about it.
I forget which book that was in.

"It's tempting to want to think we can sit around and wish our problems away."
Actually, because of creative visulaization I can actually sit around and wish my problems away.
Creative visualization gives me the gift of being able to look at any of the problems in my life:no income, no car, no food....and realize that those things are just material transit things, and what I thought as a problem, is actually an opportunity.....
My children are pretty adept at pulling things out of thin air.
For the longest time, my kids said they wanted money.
i told them to cut out the middle man, and go for what it is that the money will buy them. To dream and to work for it, for your only get back what you give. -

Well consider this, every goal that everyone has ever accomplished was first visualized
