A question about grades...
-
I am so far away. But none the less... i was reading in The Mystical and Magical system of the A.A. written by Jim, thank you Jim for that it is a blessing. I had been separated from mine since i obtained it and just cracked it open. And for the first time since the K&C of the HGA. I just have always not really concerned myself with that especially since i had discovered Thelema just within the last few years. Not that i wasn't Thelemite, i just wasn't aware of the structured religion known as one that also reflected what i had experienced. For the first several years of what i thought was a pagan path because that was all i could grasp. Inhale somewhat intentionally avoided Crowley, and then one day when i was looking for a book to study, i cracked open Magick in Theory and in practice...and i knew immediately just within a few pages this man was a genius, without a shred of doubt i was being fed the best i ever ate as far as being a student was concerned, and i kept reading and reading and then i moved onto other writings and i knew i found what it was i was.
so within the last few weeks i been looking closer these grades, and as it is with all things we study we find ourselves, it is like looking in a mirror and viewing the reflection differently than ever before.
Although i am so far away from any actual practice temple, if i wrote the college will they be able provide me with any assistance i most certainly should do that.
Would it be appropriate to share, i don't know to take that identification although it is who i am, my relationship with that Angel has been traced through the pages of that book, and even though it gives great glimpses of the journey in part, the value of that knowlethe is priceless."Many people may go through the ordeals and attain the degrees of the A.'. A.'. without ever hearing that such an Order exists. The universe is, in fact, busy with nothing else"

There is a limit to what can be done without in-person contact and in-person conversation. I'm always willing to do what I can to answer private questions, but "what I can do" is usually limited by time constraints = ordinary employment, and looking after the large number of aspirants with whom we do have direct, ongoing, in-person contact. So... it's "best try." And, of course, one purpose of the forum is to answer things that can be addressed in public (understandably limited by your privacy needs and the like; and limited by not knowing you well).

If you have insights that might help others - even as reflected in a personal journey - I encourage you to share it to the extent of your comfort and willingness. People often learn more from hearing each other's stories than from hearing each other's instructions
