Two unrelated questions, on the same thread for practicity.

    1. Does the properly admitted 0=0 gain a genuine link to the A.'.A.'., or only once advanced to 1=10?

    2. What's the purpose of the two months of chastity? Also, does it include stuff besides sexual activity such as no alcohol etc?

My perception is that there is an instant link - mostly, that's the whole purpose of the proper admittance. This link, however, is probationary and not permanent. It will fade if not secured by the next step.

Crowley's writings also seem to support this idea. The Probationer is immediately under the acceleration of ordeals. (Again, that's one of the main points of the whole thing.)

"2) What's the purpose of the two months of chastity? Also, does it include stuff besides sexual activity such as no alcohol etc?"

That should be discussed with your Neophyte. Broadly... there are changes in the psyche from this, and these cause changes in your energy overall. I would advise that it isn't a matter *only *of not having sex, but have the entire way you manage that energy (especially by your thoughts on the matter); that it especially does not involve a shutting down or resisting or "shutting out" of anything, but of different things you are doing with what comes up. (Please put everying in the last sentence, beginning with "I would advise," in the category of an outsider's opinion that in no sense should intrude on or replace counsel from your Neophyte.)

There's a lot more to that - some of which I don't feel I can discuss in public.

I think Crowley means chastity in the sense of the chapter with the same name in "Little Essays Towards Truth":

"Chastity may thus be defined as the strict observance of the Magical Oath; that is, in the Light of the Law of Thelema, absolute and perfected devotion to the Holy Guardian Angel and exclusive pursuit of the Way of the True Will."

I just finished reading this piece, and wanted to say thank you for mentioning it. I'd never read it before and found it very enjoyable and reassuring of my own point of view. 👼
