Three of DisksMeditation Pattern: Place Atu XVI, The Tower, and Atu XV, The Devil, side-by-side, with the 3 of Disks above them.
Traditional Description: The Disks are arranged in an equilateral triangle, apex upward. There is a branch of a rose tree, of which two white rosebuds touch and surmount the topmost Disk. Above and below are the symbols of Mars and Capricorn.
Binah of Earth: Material establishment; the crystallization of idea or force into form, through work. Business, paid employment, commercial transaction, financial gain.
Mars/Capricorn: Working, constructive force, building up, creation, erection; endurance, perseverance, obstinacy, sober practicality; realization and increase of material things; gain in commercial transactions, rank; ambitious, independent; increase of substance, influence, resourcefulness in business; selfishness. Commencement of matters to be established later. Narrow, prejudiced, opportunistic.
Saturn + Mars: Labor; tireless endurance; disciplined energy; will converted by effort into results.

- Although the initial change of principle (2 Discs) is easy-and-fast, the particular change of a physical structure demands time and continual cultivated investment of energy (3 Discs).
- Self-discipline. Foundations of the Pyramid are built upon the harmonious working of the three alchemical principles.
- Karma yoga; here the inherent inter-causality of all motion/action is not only understood in principle, and acted-in-accordance-with in particular cases, but it’s understood in such a way that one acknowledges own partaking and responsibility for ALL that happens in the Universe.
- Peh+Ain: intoxication by the ecstasy of acting in matter…Work (and all the works as parts and aspects of it) is a song-hymn of the dedicated one.
- Construction; devoted service through taking care of the flow of energy on material plane – making adequate channels for it, but not intruding on it’s natural process; MT’s work of “gardening” (it implies cleansing of the weed as well as nurturing the healthy seed); the World is reconstructed through this kind of activity.
- Construction and re-construction not only on material plane, but of every structure as such; wise approach is to consciously use the inertia, instead of letting it impede.
- Every work, every action, is to an extend a “closed circle” (futile, because there is no end to it, no goal to be reached); but there is ecstasy, as inner Secret of this, “Work, & be our bed in working!”; whatever it is one is doing (working, making, acting in general), it is not for the transient self, it’s for humanity.
- Organized appliance of energy in order for the Change to take Form.
- Use of violent and instinctive forces/powers (Peh) in accordance with and guided by inner Vision (Ain), in order to evolve (personally and collectively).
- No mercy for weaknesses, own of those of others; self-control, persistence, focus of vital energy to one particular project/goal, sticking to the priorities (mundanely – for a given period of time; spiritually – to the Great Work).
- Sequence from 2-Discs to 3-Discs: one “pattern” in the dynamics became in-formed.
-Matrix of the dynamics of element Earth: how everything earthy and on Earth becomes born; the Grand Mother; Hexagram 2 of I Ching; She protects the embryo until its own authentic patterns of “behavior” stabilize/habituate. - This Work is actually not hard – it is spontaneous and so easy that there is nothing easier on Earth! Because it goes by itself, all forces assist it, all forces are indeed its “tools”.
