August 3-5, 2014: Ten of Disks

WEALTH
Ten of DisksMeditation Pattern: Place Atu I, The Magus, and Atu IX, The Hermit, side-by-side, withthe 10 of Disks above them.
Traditional Description: A branch whose roses touch all the Disks. No buds, however, are shown. The symbols of Mercury and Virgo are above and below. The Disks are thus arranged:
O O O
O O
O O O
O OMalkuth of Earth: Prosperity, riches, wealth. The completion or reward of labor (or of the Great Work).
Mercury/Virgo: Completion of material gain and fortune; as it were, at the very pinnacle of success (but nothing beyond?). The requirement to mobilize intelligence to manage what has been built or acquired. Practical management of affairs. Old age, slothfulness; great wealth, yet sometimes partial loss; heaviness; dullness of mind, yet clever and prosperous in money transactions.
Malkuth + Mercury: (The meaning of this constellation of symbols is virtually identical to that of the other combinations of attributions for this card.)

- Completion/completeness of a long-developing process; results; complete manifestation of potentials that were nurtured; but a germ of New is in it (Yod), for those able to play with the Elements (Beth).
- Stable construction, tending to become too rigid; Kingdom as it is available to all through the physical senses (the so-called objective reality).
- A “burden” that every one of us carries – useful to be considered as material for building and modeling, rather than a load that impedes our motion.
- Virtue is hidden and all there is to see is illusion; but wisdom sees the symbols, recognizes the deeper value behind that available to physical senses.
- Wealth: all the resources that I have at my disposal; Beth: how will I use these (it all depends on my Understanding), Yod: how will I serve the World through appliance of this.
- Finalization, rounding, completion, end-phase.
- If the New Beginning is not recognized there, the mind becomes slave for the matter; otherwise, it acts as its architect.
- Beauty and value of what’s built is measured by its usefulness, practicality, functionality.
- Magus + Hermit: everyone has wealth (is rich) in accordance to his/her Will and authentic needs of own nature; this wealth is always here, integral component of our very life in the physical body, but to recognize it (and then apply it in an adequate way) demands certain wisdom that comes only from experience.
- Real wealth is that “something” Pure in ourselves, that which is indivisible-in-itself (atomic, Hadit), and from it spring all other kinds of wealth.
- Materialization, concretion, practical achievement; practicality as such; usefulness, and regarding this as primary (utilitarianism); business and all phenomena related; management of material resources; analysis that contributes to functionality; systematic approach; ability to recognize the full potentials of something.
- Accrued experience = the inner wealth (but it has to be conscious in order to be used properly).
