    Tarot Meditation - The Aeon

The sign of silence – the power of the Sphinx. The heart of the conqueror burns with the light of fire and victory from the moment he is borne into this world. His winged heart is the Sun to his people, to those that recognize him on his throne seat below the bosom of Nuit. He is just a symbol though, for an ocean of time has but single type of current – as it stirs and swirls forming a galaxy. It’s like a whirlpool that pulls me in and annihilates me in its center and I dissolve so that I can unite with everything again.
Different rulers come and go like tides. And as the great clock marks the appropriate time, the new current enters and the aeon is shaped anew. And I am reborn in every aeon, and annihilated at its conclusion. The elements of my microcosm come together at the beginning and disperse into space in the end under Nuit’s gown of blue, and I am stretched and expanded beyond my limits. And it is so very nice to float and drift at the moment of dissolution because there is no concept of time or space. There is only endless being. And there are sparks piercing through infinity, blaring across the infinite body of Nuit. And as the burning winged heart appears again, it gathers unto its fold elements to form the worlds and the people and the notion of time; forms them to be ruled and governed, to pass through the cycle of life and death, and for a chance to cease to exist as separate entities once and for all. And hence the cycles of kingship rotate.
And the Sun that is the burning heart warms this world and gives it life and for a flash there is an opportunity to recognize ourselves for what we are in the moment, and then for what we are in the light of eternity. And those that do not recognize get annihilated once more; though soon enough a new chance dawns in yet another aeon. And such is the breathing undulation of the universe. Utter stillness is upon the peak of inhalation as kindling fires cease; interrupted by the tremor of the vibrating syllable in exhalation – the breath of air of divine creation. Then stillness again. Beginningless, the cycle continues on. And we all come together and come apart, but always sharing the same home which is the vastness of Nuit. And gathering under the light of the Father – Hadit. Ruled by the child.

Great stuff, this chapter. I'd say it has a strong Quranic (under?)tone to it.

All challenges are met and overcome by keeping focus and attention on the highest. The trickster and our tempter is defeated by perseverance and through it we have a little fun while we're at it. All things in our peripheral are set ablaze and emboldened by the tense danger of our challenge. With deep love I can aspire to that which stands alone, that which remains, the purity of existence that becomes evident after ordeal. It is here from the beginning and It is here in the end and It is won in the great battle of life.
