July 30 (Fire) Liber LXV, Cap. IV, v. 46-47
-
46. In the height and the abyss, O my beautiful, there is no thing, verily, there is no thing at all, that is not altogether and perfectly fashioned for Thy delight.
47. Light cleaveth unto Light, and filth to filth; with pride one contemneth another. But not Thou, who art all, and beyond it; who art absolved from the Division of the Shadows. -
Jim had mentioned something in another post that popped up when I read this verse today:

"Third, regardless of the fine points, everything to this point has dealt with horizontal equilibration, and the Path of Tzaddi, by the time we open through it into Netzach, is requiring vertical balance of us. Reaching too far into the heights? Own the depths you're resisting. Spending too much time wallowing in the depths? Own the heights!
"It also brings up other verses from Liber Tzaddi that are concerned with this. Each "thing" exists in its own plane and ultimately belongs there - i.e. the Light or the Filth as illustrated in these verses. Resisting this (which is natural in different parts of human development) possibly shines a light on something to observe and accept. The "highest" or most "inward" conception though unifies all planes of existence and is all things simultaneously. It is a tough job for self-consciousness to live in all these areas at once and ultimately I suppose it must be overwhelmed a bit to shed off some of its protective skin along with hitting its limits.
