August 16 (Spirit) Liber LXV, Cap. V, v. 9-11

**9. But I have burnt within thee as a pure flame without oil. In the midnight I was brighter than the moon; in the daytime I exceeded utterly the sun; in the byways of thy being I flamed, and dispelled the illusion.
10. Therefore thou art wholly pure before Me; therefore thou art My virgin unto eternity.
11. Therefore I love thee with surpassing love; therefore they that despise thee shall adore thee.

The source of our spark and flame that ignites our true selves is Adonai, the angel, and the most inner forms of consciousness. The Light is greater than any light we can perceive with our physical senses, it is more subtle, and communicates to us where reason is overwhelmed. Thus, reaching a point of view looking at life from "above" so to speak, all previous illusion is dispelled from our viewpoint "within". When we are in something, struggling, pushing and pulling, we can lose track of the observer's point of view who looks at all things at once and knows that all the struggling is just a game a part of our being plays, maybe to just pass the time.
However, reaching beyond this, there is a sanctuary that is pure, free of any foreign object, that is totally and utterly One with its timeless counterpart. Our lesser flame is joined with the greater and in this love do we experience the "...unimaginable joys on earth: certainty, not faith, while in life, upon death; peace unutterable, rest, ecstasy..." (Book of the Law, chapter 1, v.58)
