August 21 (Spirit) Liber LXV, Cap. V, v. 22-23

Verse 22 actually surprises me in its beauty and simplicity in describing a "transparent" approach to life. As the diamond he is clear and transparent and reflects whatever images are passing through. The strikes me as a great illustration of the "Transparent Consciousness" attributed to the letter Beth and the Magus card of the Tarot. This mode of consciousness exists within us at all times as well and most times, I can say for myself, I muck it up with side talk and chatter, but this is a key to be mindful of whether in daily life or in performing a specific meditation or ritual.
Much work is done in just clearing out our "stuff" so that the diamond truly has clarity. Most of the time I just get in the way of my own self and I'm sure I'm not alone. Also, to stand unaffected by that which flows through us, as if indifferent to any cause and affect, is quite the task as well and very key to many things. There is a rising above and beyond. A place of power without necessarily wielding it or really "having" it. It is interesting that complete identification with the angel occurs at this point. A sort of balance and knowledge of one's purpose.
