**Liber LXV, Cap. I, v. 53-54
**
53. And He answered Him: Have I not the key thereof?
I am clothed with the body of flesh; I am one with the Eternal and Omnipotent God.
54. Then said Adonai: Thou hast the Head of the Hawk, and thy Phallus is the Phallus of Asar. Thou knowest the white, and thou knowest the black, and thou knowest that these are one. But why seekest thou the knowledge of their equivalence? -
The adept already knows that the transmitter and the receiver, the white and the black, the source and the receptacle, are the same thing. He is fully incarnated in the flesh, and fully united with the divine.
And the Angel responds - you're equipped, you're armed to the teeth for the Great Work, so why are you trying to understand every little detail? That's not your job anymore! -
Continuation from previous three verses. The Adept asks "don't I have the Universal measure?", i.e. awareness of one, eternal Truth, brought by this very experience. Adonai answers: you have achieved Union with God, and understand the Unity of everything, in which all the opposites are contained; the differences among phenomena is what makes possible the Unity; why seeking to to see everything as the same, to disengage from perceiving (and adequately appreciating) the differences?

Not much I can see to add to the above posts - just reminds me of Alan Watts conversation vis God 'understanding everything'. Do we understand how we open and close our hands? And if we could put it all into symbol/language would that make any difference to the ability to open and close our hands? 'Flowers are simple, but if you put them into language it would take you till the end of time to describe them fully. Like trying to drink the ocean with a fork'
