Liber LXV, Cap. III, v. 13-14
    13. Then I said: O my beloved, O Lord Adonai, I pray thee to loosen the coils of the serpent!
    14. But she was closed fast upon me, so that my Force was stayed in its inception.

These two verses I see flowing as an unbreakable sequence with the next two. The coils of the serpent here that Adept prays to be loosen are the bonds with Lilith, the hold that Nephesh has over Adept's body & psyche.
Verse 14 speaks about the essence of "corruption" in this relationship: it keeps the vital Force locked in.
Praying to Adonai to loose this bond is pointing attention to the Quintessence, seeking help from the spiritual Sun of the soul. Only from this higher point of balance, the relationship with H.G.A., can we establish the right relationship with Nephes (i.e. conscious unity instead of bondage).
