Hello all-- I have seen (mostly on Crowley-bashing Christian/Conspiracy nut sites) a quote from AC's diaries, concerning possible pederasty.
The quote is purported to be taken from "The Magical Record of The Beast 666: The Diaries of Aleister Crowley", edited by John Symonds and Kenneth Grant, Pg 239.
The quote: August 12th 1920 - "Her breasts itch with lust of Incest. She hath given Her two-year bastard boy to Her lewd lover's whim of sodomy, hath taught him speech and act, things infinitely abhorred, with Her own beastly carcass. She hath tongued Her five-month girl, and asked its father to deflower it."
Most of the bashing sites insert the name "Rose Kelly" in brackets. Of course, this quote (if accurate) would most likely refer to Leah Hirsig, since she was his Scarlet Woman at the time and had a son by a previous lover and had given birth to 'Poupee' earlier that year (1920).
One site which I was able to find gives the quote in full:

I was wondering:
-
if anyone had a copy of this book in order to confirm whether or not this quote is accurate?

What are some of your thoughts on this? I notice Uncle Al doesn't specify who the "lewd lover" is, nor does he say he did "deflower" the child, although this does nothing to deter the sensationalists from frothing at the mouth.
I feel that it is important for this to be addressed, whatever the meaning. Of course, I realize that this quote, however it is to be taken (if even accurate) does not affect the great work (or Great Work) of 666. Not in my estimation, at least.
What thinkest thou? A venomous attack on Leah? Veiled magickal reference? Pondering pederasty?
