Exercises of True Willthoughts do not come from nothing, they are formed from the quantum wave like proliferations which abound in our subconscious mind.
you canโt create something out of nothing.. you need to persistently work on your challenges and uncritically feed quantities of thoughts, ideas, opinions and observations into your subconscious mind so it has something it can actively create for new and novel ideas.
If you spend your time and energy looking for reasons why things canโt work or canโt be done, you 'end up' with nothing.

Nietzsche & Will?"What do (you) people think of the idea of the Greaco warrior class as having no concept of "evil"? Everything aggressive, wealthy, healthy and uplifting was considered to be "good" whereas the opposites were considered, "bad"."
I'd have to say that most of the history of the Greek warrior class has been written through the prejudicial eye of the Athenians.. a bit like trying to understand Africa based on colonial records.

How to respond to Crowley-bashers?Crowley has the desired effect, they're just not paying attention to themselves

Thelemic Materialism (Thelemic Philosophy)supernaturalist.. me?
omg ive been found guilty by association

Thelemic Materialism (Thelemic Philosophy)meh.. he's ok.

Thelemic Materialism (Thelemic Philosophy)From what i remember it originally started with some member, cant recall his name he changed it every time he came in..
He'd become a part of Los's collective fan base, i recall a section on another site where he'd gone complaining to Los that 'they' had banned him.. whoever "they" were.
The Admin of this site hadnt banned him because he merely disagreed (as Los's presence here bears that out) but because he was becoming hysterical.
Actually before that Los had stated that this forum's membership mainly consists of a bunch of complete fruitcakes and he'd informed his readers that he'd never post here, he believes though that forum is great food for his stand up routine that he offers his readers.. he's quite an upbeat guy actually.
Meh, as far as i'm concerned he's ok.. until he starts using bad testimony and pseudo science and expects to get away with it, when caught out he regresses to juvenile tactics to draw attention to himself.. the conversation then becomes rather amateur at best. -
Thelemic Materialism (Thelemic Philosophy)hahaha Gold.

Secret Chiefs and attainment"There's no such thing as "true from my perspective."
That's absolute rubbish Los.. It totally discounts out of hand psychologically motivating forces that cannot have arisen by accident, therefore have to be regarded as being necessary.

"^ If you can't device a recipe without pre-prescribed instruction you might not be much of a chef to begin with.
Not to mention waves are particles simultaneously.."
Yes it's perfectly permissible in physics to express the universe as a wave theory, actually it uses less assumptions.

What defines "lust for result"?"Either way, it's completely unnecessary to believe unjustified claims about imagination "causing" stuff in order to create these kinds of coverings or unveilings."
I think you're mistaken there Los, People using their imaginations has created a situation where you have regaled us with your unveilings.
-
Secret Chiefs and attainment"I do not think his reply was that simple."
Nevertheless it's a generic predictable response.
-
Secret Chiefs and attainmentHow does one one know what a secret chief is.. Or is that a secret to you guys?
There are er.. contacts that will tell you nothing but bullshit. -
Is that God talking? It turns on our knowing/knowledge itself.. of how "God" is conceived within a paradigm of thought.
My conclusions were that it cant be forced, tortured, tricked, manipulated, made to be..
'It' is revealed to anything willing to listen. -

""In the end these things matter most.. How well did you love?
How fully did you live? How deeply did you let go?"..Gautama Buddha"
"I didn't say either of these quotes" - Gautama Buddha "
It's completely Westernised so it couldnt possibly be a pulled quote from the canon, the authors didnt write in that fashion.
The thing is, Buddha didnt write anything down, the canon is put together from oral traditions by writers who fancied they knew what he was on about. He might not have said most of it, its the jist of his teachings.
Nevertheless it was compiled ingeniously and cant be approached like the normal linear books we are accustomed to, the texts are interwoven holographically and have to be unpacked by skillful means.. even if the primer keys waffle on repeatedly sometimes.
If you take even just a swift glance at the various schools out there you'll see that its been entirely interpreted with some speaking of union with gods and spirits.. even though it might seem he wasnt into that himself.. didnt seem interested in religion at all.. yet he we are today.
As Tibetan buddhism/Tantra was mentioned, it is believed within that school that the teachings were magically encoded, hidden and only received by supernatural means.
The versatility comes from what he was actually pointing to, once that has been revealed you can read 'Ethel the Aardvark goes quantity surveying' it wont make any 'difference.'..Gautama Buddha

Thelema and satanismYou make your god transparent to the transcendent, it doesnt matter what its name is.

"why Tibetan Buddhism specifically?"
some of it is quite obvious.
Tantra and sex.
dakshinachara = Right hand path.
vamachara = Left hand path.
Union of spiritual entities of various kinds.
Taboo breaking = confronting conditioned responses.
Concentration on the body = Energy centres. To name a few.

Asana: First Attempt(s)I have to to agree with Los. The primary focus is meditation, not being able to maintain advanced postures is not indicative of not being able to meditate.
I would not advise people to ignore their bodies signals..ie. pain/discomfort=imminent injury.
Actually all the injuries ive seen in yoga come from the ego's stubbornness to push through pain.. There isnt some mysterious force of judgement at the end of the line ticking off the postures you have accomplished before you pass through the gate.
The only result ive seen from that are visits to the physiotherapist or the surgeons knife. -
Formula of IAOYou see enlightenment isnt anything special.. it cant be given to you, as you already have it.
The work that needs to be undertaken is in stabilising your experiences to that of your true self or sole mediator.. where to meditate or to act in everyday life is identical, there is no effort as this your true nature.
So you can understand that it comes without effort.. paradoxically, nothing needs to be done.
.. and i mean paradoxically as this isnt a cop out for not doing the work.
