I played around with a very colourful portal aswell for while

Pinging and banging sounds in the walls of wherever I go.
I got so scared of them once that I went into a church to see if they'd stop and the walls around me were cracking like nobodies business! I would imagine an extremely white light all around me with immense concentration to stop them...but I could only hold that concentration for a few seconds...when I would burn out they would come back louder.

Is it true that it can cause catatonia?
If so...how long does the catatonic state last?

I don't mean an intended catatonia... I mean a complete takeover.
