Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law
I imagine this post is for James specifically, but either way -
In "The Black Pearl," Vol. I, No. 1 (if I recall correctly), you write:
"There are numerous ways to generate magical force for a particular single occassion. The Ritual of the Middle Pillar is one of the finest, and my serve as the entire method, whether it is used as a daily practice for a period of many weeks or months, or is used only in one specific magical ceremony to opern channels for that one time.
It is also possible to stimulate Yetziratic energies directly by such means as inebriants, sexual stimulation, music and other rhythm, or prolonged pranayama [...]"
I am not trying to be vague, but I am having difficulty formulating my question. I am wondering if you could go into greater detail about generating magical force - when you name it "Yetziratic Force" specifically, does that mean that you can generate different types of energy, depending on which of the four planes you are drawing it from, or (as your article indicates, I believe), is all "real spiritual energy" drawn from Atziluth? In the article, you talk about the spiritual energy of the purely divine world of Atziluth, which seems to indicate the answer is yes, but (unless I'm misunderstanding), you refer to this as Yetziratic Force as well, I quote, from earlier in the article:
"The first objective on the list is the generation of magical force. This is necessary to ensure the magician's continued, and even increasing capacity to practice his or her art."
"Note that the object is magical force. I distinguish this from mystical force. At least in the beginning, we may take this to mean Yetziratic Force. yet the source of this, as of all real spiritual energy, is the purely Divine world of Atziluth."
You mention (in the first quote) different ways of generating this magical force - can you ellaborate? The Middle Pillar Ritual is self-explanatory, but how does inebriation generate this energy? I suppose it causes me confusion to think of drawing spiritual energy from the purely Divine world of Atziluth via inebriation - on paper, it sounds like a contradiction. I know in the works of Phile Hine, they often speak of different ways of generating magical energy - spinning in circles, laughter, sexual gnosis, etc. - can you clarify?
Is this energy a "fuel" of sorts for magical operation then?
I probably haven't properly formulated my questions, and for that I apologize - I seem to be searching for clarity on this topic however, if that helps.
