There are several translations in Italian.
One from the SOTVL to be found on their website and one, IIRC made by Alberto Moscato and published by the OTO.
Both of them are adequate, nothing more.

John St John is indeed a very interesting read, but so are Achad's diary portions too.

There are at least a couple of levels.

At one level, the sword is specifically a symbol of the intellect. Though it may seem bizarre a century after the Aeon began, the basic meaning in this sense is that a woman is to have (and own) a mind of her own and to develop and deploy her intellect. - In 1904, this was a radical concept.

Another level of sword symbolism is the pure idea of the weapon, especially as a symbol of freedom."

That's great. I always tend to forget placing works in their own time and the first level explained by you is probably spot on.

So do you people assume that Liber Thisharb actually makes you become aware of who you were in previous lives? I have always debated this with friends of mine, whether Crowley's account of his previous lives was a "real" recollection of what was done by him before 1875 or whether his choice of Eliphas Levi and other characters of the past was rather a selection of archetypes that Crowley would have felt at ease with and whose work he thought he was continuing in his present life.
I have personally always thought the latter to be more close to truth.
I'd love to know your opinions.

I'm not saying they don't - I just don't know anyone who has. I haven't. My husband hasn't - & he's been trough with the Student Curriculum for years. There are several here on this very forum who do not get a response. I know of at least 15 others who have written & never heard back.

As you can gather from the name on the left I'm Frater Lucius, I live in Milan, in the north of Italy, and have been interested in Thelema and the life, works and magick of AC for the past four or five years.

My esoteric interests range from Thelema to Cerimonial Magic to Kabbalah (or whichever way you want to spell it), from Gnosticism to an academic interest in Ancient Religions, having graduated at Uni with a thesis on Ancient Religions Under The Roman Empire.

For a living I work for a major Tv Network.

Have been following the Temple of Thelema forums for some time now and I guess it's about time I introduced myself and publicly thank all of you for the precious insight I gained from your posts.
