Hmmmm... I wouldn't mistake 'new to your forum' as 'new to magick'. You've no idea how many decades I've been immersed in magick from what little I've shared so far. Mind you, you seem to be clinging to the concept these are lowly demons that need your rescuing, pity, or perhaps help in some sort. I'm obviously clicking onto the wrong forum. How many people here have actually talked with the entities of the Goetia and learned what the Deity aspect is? Or does everyone cling to what the keys of Solomon wrote about damn near everything riding an infernal beast and breathing volumes of poisonous gas..? Like I said, something caught my eye and I decided to put my 2 cents in for someone. You guys don't need my input obviously... Without knowing anything about me you assume I'm a noob. I've only shown you 1 aspect of my experience - Goetia. I've not imparted anything else and yet I've been accused of fabricating things into my evocation. golf claps.

I'll be ignoring this account now. I've no interest in sharing information with those of you that are coff 'too experienced' to listen.

Well, I'm very close with the ones I work with daily. I consider it to be a bit too personal to discuss the exact details, mostly out of respect to them.

Sometimes it's just simple conversations and advice, sometimes a lot more than that. They've been with me through some major family changes, as well as helping me through my own changes. They've assisted with health issues, medical operations on friends, love and relationships. Money, employment... Travelling to other worlds... learning new magicks...

I think the more appropriate question to ask is what have I not yet called upon the friendly entities of the goetia to assist with in my or my friend/family's life.

How about you? Is there anything about goetic daemons you were happy about and would care to share?

Well done! When you treat the entities with respect ( many of them have deity aspects and should never be viewed upon as 'a lowly "demon"..') they will be much more willing to cooperate and assist you. You will bond a much better relationship with them and the benefits are amazing...

I just wanted to take a moment to say hello and thank you for letting me join your forum. I posted something a few days ago which is what prompted me to join...putting my 2 cents in on goetic magick, hopefully perceived as coming from a friendly direction.

I've not studied Thelemic magick, although some of my friends do. I primarily work with the entities from the Goetia for quite some time now and really love what I do with them.

Magick is my life - it is woven in throughout my daily activities even at work...I'm here for the long haul...

Just came across this post online so I thought I would register and cast my 2 cents.

First off, they're not 'demons' in the Hollywood sense (spinning heads, vomit and deceit) they're daemons which translates as 'magical entity'. Some of them have a deity aspect, such as Astaroth, who is also 'Easter' and the goddess Isis (goddess of love and fertility). So if you're simply reading from the keys of Solomon then I suppose you'll be reading the descriptions that say 'so and so rides an infernal beast with a poisonous viper in his hand and do not get too close or you'll be poisoned by his breath..." rather than "she comes in the form of a beautiful woman, with grace and majesty... Enjoys helping couples with issues of love and happiness. Should be called upon when you need a little extra help in finding love or protection..."

Don't ever be worried about calling a daemon from the goetia - remember... Someone called all 72 of them and lived to tell about it. In general they are all neutral, both to the magician and to each other. If you truly believe your ex roomie did this to you, simply get the name of the entity, light a candle and call that entity, with an offering (booze) ready to offer. Explain what happened...they'll understand. Explain how it is affecting you (the connection to that entity is simply too strong for you) and ask for it to be undone. Have the offering out, tell them that it is for them for payment for helping you with your request. Hey, while you're at it simply say "and if you see anything else that is affecting me negatively that you can help to undo then I ask for your help with this too". If they like you (Easier if you're genuine with them) they will do it for you. Just make sure you give them a really GENEROUS helping of booze since they don't know you and you're asking for favors.

In general if you're working with a daemon from the goetia they will warn you about a blood offering being too strong (like I said, these aren't 'demons' from Hollywood) so I'd find it a bit of a stretch to believe a daemon said "yea, I'll connect to that other guy without his knowledge" unless they were REALLy friendly with your old roomie and wanted to help him get one over on you (like "-a friend helps you to move...a good friend helps you move dead bodies" sense of help)
