I'm very interested in the magical nuances implied within Grant's writings in regard to them revealing a hint of the alchemical operation involved in the Great Work. Here is a quote I found interesting.
“The stone before it wholly part with its blackness and become white, like most shining polished marble or a naked brandished sword, will put on all colors that can be imagined”
—Dr. Sigismon Bacstrom, MD, The Seven Egyptian Seals.
Also, a metaphysic of the upper sephiroth in a Grantian and alchemical context:
"Out seeping from those spaces between the intersticies of oneiric being, is that non local mysterious gate, the aperture of cosmic chaos referred to here as the 'blackness' of Daäth (Ain) i.e. the 'light that is not'. Sexo-magically, the 'blackness' appears white and shining like polished marble during its transit or egress as 'intelligence' outwards into flesh. The white here, refers to that exalted tincture, or the crown (Kether) of the upper sephiroth, which conceals its secret antipole from the profane, Daäth, the gate to the other. In this respect, that exalted tincture of which we speak i.e. the white, is a primordium, a star STONE, which has been otherwise referred to as the SUBSTANCE. This is an intelligence of kind i.e. the "naked brandished sword" and it contains within it as a seed the sexo-magical 'drivers' (16 Kalas) of all magickal operations. The zoömorphic creature which imparts the spectral tinctures of the 'white' (intelligence) as the Kalas, is the spectral hyaena, as it is a creature of the 'blackness' but also contains within its menstruum, the spectra of the 16 Kalas in potentia".
